Terms and Conditions
These are the terms Wheel Repair Ltd works to. They apply to work carried out at the workshop and to mobile visits. Nothing here takes away the rights you have as a consumer.

Quotes
A price given from a photograph or a description is an estimate. It is given in good faith on what we can see, and it is not a contract.
The price is settled once the wheel is in front of us, because that is the first point at which anyone can be sure what is wrong with it. If the wheel turns out to need more than the estimate covered, we tell you what it needs and what it will cost, and we wait. No extra work is done, and nothing extra is charged, without you saying yes first.
If you would rather not go ahead at that point, that is fine. You pay for nothing that has not been done.
Booking and access
Work at the workshop is by arrangement. Ring or message first so we know the car or the wheels are coming.
A mobile visit needs somewhere safe and legal to work: off the public highway, on reasonably level ground, with room to get round the car. We will say honestly whether a job suits a mobile visit, and some do not. A painted finish can be done on site. A diamond cut face cannot, because it has to go on a lathe at the workshop.
If we arrive and the location is not safe or the car is not accessible, we will talk to you about rearranging.
What we need from you
- The locking wheel nut key, if the car has one. Without it the wheels cannot come off.
- Anything you already know about the wheels: a previous repair, a buckle, a slow puncture, a aftermarket finish.
- Valuables taken out of the car if you are leaving it with us.
What a refurbishment does and does not fix
A refurbishment restores the face and the finish of the wheel. It is cosmetic work, done properly.
There are wheels we will not sign off as safe, and we say so rather than take the work. A cracked wheel, a wheel with a buckle beyond what can be trued, or one with corrosion through the metal, is not a cosmetic job. If a wheel is not worth doing we tell you, and that conversation costs nothing.
A diamond cut face is machined, which removes a thin layer of metal each time. There is a limit to how often any wheel can be cut, and that limit belongs to the wheel, not to us. We will tell you where yours is.
We cannot guarantee a colour match to a finish applied by someone else, or to a wheel that has already been repaired elsewhere, and we will say so before starting rather than afterwards.
Paying
Payment is due when the work is finished and the wheels are back with you, unless we have agreed something different in writing. Trade and fleet accounts are arranged separately.
Changing your mind
If you booked without meeting us, over the phone, by message or through this website, you have the right to cancel within fourteen days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
If you asked us to start within those fourteen days and then cancel, you pay for what has already been done. If we have not started, there is nothing to pay.
To cancel, tell us by email or telephone. A message is enough and there is no form to fill in.
If something is not right
Tell us. Bring the wheel back and we will look at it.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 work must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. If it has not been, you are entitled to have it put right, and if that is not possible, to a reduction in price. Those rights are yours by law and nothing on this page changes them.
Kerbing a refurbished wheel again is new damage rather than a fault in the work, and so is corrosion that starts from a fresh stone chip. We will always look before making that judgement.
Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage we cause by failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for a business’s loss of profit, where the work was ordered for business purposes.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
